WARRANTY & PRODUCT CARE

All products manufactured by Revive Timber Designs hold a 2-year structural warranty.   Please open and inspect your product upon delivery.  Revive Timber Designs must be notified of any faults, issues or complaints with 24 hours of you receiving the product.  Proper care and handling for each product is essential to guarantee longevity, at no time should the product ever be dragged or stood on.

Timber is a natural product and as such is constantly shifting and moving.  Natural environmental factors will affect the condition of our timber products which can lead to cupping, timber splitting, shrinkage, expansion and timber finish discolouration which unfortunately cannot be warrantied.

 CARING FOR TIMBER

Each piece at Revive Timber Designs is handcrafted using traditional craftsmanship & modern technology from sustainably source joinery grade timbers or the highest standard reclaimed timbers.  We design and build our products to last and with the right care and attention each piece will do so.

We always recommend that our products only ever be used for their intended purpose. If ever moving furniture, please do so with assistance and using the appropriate lifting techniques.  Never drag or push furniture and we do not recommend ever standing on our furniture.

To avoid natural environmental damage occurring including discolouration of timber finish, cupping, timber splitting, shrinkage & expansion we always recommend keeping furniture out of direct sunlight for long periods of time.

We recommend that you NEVER us a microfibre cloth on our timber products as they are degrade the finish over time.

Oil & Wax Finish

We use a hard wax oil on all of our products.  The natural oil & wax finish is hardwearing and suitable for high use areas.  The deep penetrating oil coupled with the surface protecting wax acts as a tough protective barrier for the timber.  It is derived from natural oils and waxes and low maintenance and naturally resistant to spills although it is not recommended to leave any spills to settle on the surface and should be cleaned immediately by wiping down with a cloth.

Bench Tops*

Revive Timber Designs bench tops are manufactured using joinery grade timbers and the highest quality glues.  Timber is a natural product and as such some movement can be expected particularly in changes in environmental factors.

Solid timber bench tops all require a settling period during this time the timber may shift and move slightly as it settles into its new environment.

Natural factors may lead to the timber expanding, shrinking or discolouration.  Small splits or cracks may develop over time, these are a natural phenomenon of timber and not a fault and add character to the piece.

Damage to the surface through wear and tear, misuse, improper positioning or the use of chemicals or abrasive products are not covered by our warranty.

* All bench tops must be installed by a qualified & licenced installer ie: joiner, cabinet maker, carpenter or builder otherwise the warranty is void.

Vanities*

Revive Timber Designs vanity cabinets are manufactured from moisture resistant materials but are not waterproof.  Care must be taken to dry any spillages or leakages that may sit on the timber surface or gain access to the cabinetry. Our warranty cannot be guaranteed on vanities if not installed by a qualified & licensed installer.

*All vanities must be installed by a qualified & licenced installer ie: joiner, cabinet maker, carpenter, builder or plumber otherwise the warranty is void.

Wall Hung Vanities:

Our wall hung vanities can be heavy, adequate support in the wall behind any tiling is required.  The vanity must be fixed to the wall through the provided internal brackets as well as additional adequate fixings & washers.

If the wall is out of square, the installer may be required to use packers behind the vanity to ensure the unit does not become twisted during installation.

Under no circumstances should vanities be tiled into the wall.  Revive Timber Designs vanities must be fitted to finished/completed wall coverings ie: tiles, masonary or other cladding method deemed acceptable as per the Building Code (of Australia) 2014.

The Revive Timber Designs warranty does not cover any vanity and/or top that has been tiled “into” a wall ie: cutting or fixing a vanity to a wall and tiling around it and/or down and/or around the vanity and top.

It is the responsibility of the installer to cut the hole for the sink waster and adjust the drawers and/or doors after installation.
